LMU has prepared a collection of resources for new students and their families to help ensure a seamless transition to the university. Future Lions
New Lions, check your Future Lions portal for personalized pre-arrival information, including registration details, important dates, orientation activity selection, and the checklist of things you need to do prior to the first day of class. Log in with your LMU email and password.

International First-Year Orientation
August 19–25
International Orientation supports incoming first-year students who have lived abroad in gaining familiarity with the LMU campus, building friendships, and making a successful transition to academic and student life in the United States.
International Transfer Orientation
August 21–25
International transfer students will attend sessions with the Office of International Students and Scholars.
Transfer Student Orientation
August 22–25
Transfer Orientation events allow incoming students to meet fellow transfers, introduce transfer success strategies, and set the foundation for students to begin their academic experience at LMU.
First-Year Orientation
August 22–25
First-Year Orientation allows new students to connect, learn to navigate the campus, and begin exploring the LMU community in real and tangible ways on the Westchester campus.

The LMU Orientation Programs team welcomes students and their families to Loyola Marymount University and are available to help provide a more seamless transitional experience. Along with faculty and staff, there are ample resources to help prepare you for the upcoming fall semester. Should there be any additional questions, please contact us at orientation@lmu.edu.
Transfer Student Orientation Modules
As part of your onboarding experience, incoming transfer students will view a suite of videos that provide information about registration, academic tools, and student resources. Completion credit will be given, and students may work at their own pace. The Transfer Student Orientation modules should be completed prior to course registration so you are fully prepared to enroll and understand the next steps you must take prior to arrival on campus.
First-year New Student Orientation Modules
As part of your onboarding experience, incoming first-year students will view a suite of videos that provide information about academic tools and student resources. Completion credit will be given and students may work at their own pace. The New Student Orientation modules must be completed prior to arrival so you learn about making payments to your Student Account, ordering books for you classes, accessing student resources, and getting involved on campus.
