What is International Orientation?
International Orientation is a series of information sessions and activities immediately prior to Orientation designed specifically for international students in F-1 status. International Orientation provides important information to international students regarding their immigration status, cultural and academic adjustment, and other aspects of life in the United States that orientation may not directly address. Attendance at international orientation events is mandatory for all students in F-1 status.
When is International Orientation?
All first-year international students living on campus can move into on-campus housing on the morning of Friday, August 16th. Mandatory International Orientation activities will begin on Friday afternoon and continue through LMU orientation concluding on Sunday, August 25.
When can I enter the United States?
All F-1 students may enter the United States up to 30 days prior to their program start date.
I am a U.S. citizen, but I've always lived abroad. May I attend International Orientation?
Yes! US citizens living abroad are encouraged to attend International Orientation.
Does International Orientation have sessions for parents?

What documents should I bring with me to International Orientation?
Bring your passport with F1 visa, I-94 form, and immunization records when you arrive at International Orientation.
Can you help me set up a bank account and mobile phone plan during International Orientation?
Yes! Representatives from multiple businesses will be present including cell phone providers and financial institutions will be present at International Orientation check-in.
