Immigration Session

Attending the entirety of this session is mandatory as part of your immigration checklist. OISS Staff will explain all the mandatory immigration processes and forms international students need to complete to stay in status at LMU. 

International Cohort Group Photo
Regent’s Terrace Steps
4:15–4:45 p.m.

A beloved tradition—all international students will take a group photo together to conclude the Orientation experience.

Food Truck Dance Party

Celebrate the memories you have made at International Orientation with an evening of food, music, and community. Enjoy local food trucks, a photo booth, and dancing to commemorate the start of your international student experience.

Local Shopping & Exploration

Join International Orientation Leaders to take the LMU shuttle down to the RUNWAY
Shopping Plaza in Playa Vista, where you can shop for essentials, groceries, and other
items.

Campus Walking Tours
Meet on St. Robert’s Lawn

Take a student-led walking tour of the LMU campus. Parents are invited and encouraged to join you on this campus tour.

Join LMU Student Success for a resource fair, where you can get your questions answered and speak with representatives from offices across campus, who serve students.

LMU Verto Lions Meet and Greet

Verto participants are invited to gather for a special meet and greet designed to celebrate your return, reconnect with your fellow LMU Verto students, and build new connections as you begin your next chapter on the Bluff. This event is only for students who participated in the year-abroad program through Verto.

Board an open-air bus with your Orientation Group and venture off-campus to nearby Manhattan Beach, a coastal community with a picturesque pier, upscale shops, eateries, and pristine sand. Students will travel in assigned groups with their Orientation Leader. Reserve your departure time on Future Lions.

Playa Vista Hikes

9:45 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Hike down the bluff to browse the Playa Vista Farmer's Market, a favorite stop for locals on Saturdays, where you can stock up on produce, artisan delights, and local bites. Next, make your way to RUNWAY to discover its shops, fitness studios, and delicious eateries. Drop by the LMU check-in station to participate in the RUNWAY Passport Challenge. Students will travel in assigned groups with their Orientation Leader. Reserve your hike departure on Future Lions.
