In anticipation of the upcoming year, please utilize the on-demand resource modules and attend the virtual graduate student orientation program. Each of these offerings is designed to educate you about LMU and cultivate the important connections that ultimately lead to student success.

LMU’s Writing Center offers LMU graduate students in all disciplines the opportunity to develop and hone academic writing skills in consultation with trained tutors. This session will provide an overview of how graduate students can utilize this resource for immediate support and long-term growth.

International Graduate Orientation

All new international graduate students entering in Summer Session I, II, or Fall 2025 are required to attend an orientation session with the Office for International Students and Scholars (OISS) prior to the start of the Fall 2025 semester. Learn more about the support LMU provides for international graduate students as well as important details about visa requirements and maintaining your student status.
Graduate Onboarding Modules

LMU has developed customized onboarding modules that cover a variety of helpful topics to provide a seamless transition for new graduate students. The content is provided on demand, allowing you to watch at your own pace.

GSLMU Fall Welcome - Aug. 23
New graduate students are invited to an on-campus welcome event on Saturday, August 23 starting at 2:30pm (Pacific Time). As part of this event, you may choose to participate in a campus tour, graduate student happy hour, involvement fair, food truck festival, or outdoor movie night.
